The Resort

The Resort is a largely wooded 10-acre property bordering Anahim Lake, with a collection of buildings servicing the property. It has a 120-foot deep well providing very clean drinking water, and power comes from a BC Hydro generating station in Anahim Lake. The generating station is currently diesel operated, but in 2025 a solar energy farm will come online and provide up to 65% of local electricity needs.

The main part of the Resort is clustered around its eastern tip, where the Lodge, adjacent building with rental rooms and laundry facilities, parking lot, Guest Garden, and dock are located. The Guest Garden is popular with guests in summer, as it is licensed and affords great views over the lake.

The Lodge and adjacent rental room building are each heated with their own wood-burning furnace and propane backup system. Near the Resort entrance, separated from the area frequented by guests, are the workshop, warehouse, staff apartment, and woodshed. These house all the tools, maintenance necessities, snowblower, wood fuel for furnaces, and storage for the Resort.

The Resort grounds are part forest, and part well-maintained lawns, gardens, trails, and unpaved access roads. The rental cabins are spread around the edge of the lake and well-separated from one another to provide privacy.
